Claire Loon Baldwin created this illustration with watercolor, ink, and digital media for BabyBug, a magazine for toddlers, in 2024. It depicts two scenes with a toddler and her father as they explore a nature walk to a waterfall. Claire’s work captures a child's sense of wonder in exploring the natural world.

To bring the illustration to life, Claire began by creating the line art digitally, allowing for efficient revisions, before printing it onto watercolor paper. She then hand-painted the design and scanned the artwork to digitally edit it and prepare it to go to print.
